The Orwellian Future is Here: FBI Most Wanted Billboard Lights Up Times Square

A video billboard featuring fugitives wanted by the FBI was unveiled in New York's Times Square, Friday, Jan. 15, 2010. The billboard will air pictures of fugitives and missing persons. It also will publicize high-priority security messages, and draw attention to kidnap victims and missing children. (AP Photo/Richard Drew)

As part of an agreement with Clear Channel, FBI has gained access to over 400 digital billboards in 33 cities. The billboards are not exclusive for wanted fugitives but can also be used to publicize missing children or public safety announcements.
